I think we should just stick to the Treasure Hunt thing.

Way too much going on, then.
See, the reason I don't want them is because I want people to go to war with other people when they want stuff.

That is quite true. However, you should note that there was hardly any HF Rocket Metal given out last version, and that lasted for what...500-600 days? Something around there. Furthermore, since we'll be dealing with four or five bases at a time, having lots of resources, especially good ones, will be even more important and thus more opportunities to get stuff like trade resources, Titanium, and HF Rocket Metal should be there. At least, that's what I think. Especially since Random Events are...well, random/Unpredictable. There weren't very many last version.

Water dumple is right. We'll need MUCH more resorces then we did last version. That and we need a way to get H.F metal. We only had about 3 chances to get any. Also treasure hunt events are wildlife only so hocatitians are missing out on all the item getting fun.

Just a suggestion, but how about opening Treasure hunts to Hocotatians. It's a lot more fun when there's more people searching for stuff.

Oh, and the Minor Events should be gone. It was good concept, but they were annoying and didn't really do anything.

Agreed.
Now, back to the Water Base issue...
I think that the simplest way to solve this is make small rivers leading around everywhere.

Seconded.
New class idea Hoctatian tamer A sort of balance between hoctatians and wildlife
These guys can have Troop wise
50,000 ordinaries (50% MUST be pikmin) 2,500 Specials
2 supers 1 Spaceship
They also have Tech Right about between the two classes.

Agreed. Now, back to the Water Base issue... I think that the simplest way to solve this is make small rivers leading around everywhere. That's what I first suggested, but there are places near cliffs and such where it's just too vague and difficult to allow it to work. For example, the area over the abyss where the Libra is in the Forest Navel; or where the Air Break is in the Awakening Wood. I like the minor race trading idea I suggested--Or at least, I don't see problems with it--But what do you folks think? Nobody else commented on it, unless I missed a post.

Well, could you give an estimate on about how much the prices would be lowered, first?
That's what the trading race does, right? Sell things for lower prices?

Well, I haven't thought about exactly what deals you should get; I should hope that it wouldn't just be a cheaper version of the Universal Store, although that may be the only way to make it consistently balanced...
Maybe instead, if you were near a body of water you could make a certain structure that would get you extra Petals. Or some kind of bonus. Something like a Deuterium harvester.

It all depends on the specifics, for this one.

I personally agree with WD's idea of a trade modifier. We could have different prices for different locations at the universal store, but we could also just stamp a modifier on different areas, say +20%, - 30%, etc. and anyone who had a base there would be effected by it, although an extra gathering building could also work.
