I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I didn't mean the strength of a Hero or unit would vary from Mod to mod, I meant that the FOCUS on a particular unit would.
For this, Merloo came up with what I thought was a brilliant idea: make an RE Store in the Market. Whenever you go to war, you get ___ Points (and you can probably get extra points based on if you win the battle or however we decide). You can use these Points to buy special, powerful items in the store, like the Master Sword or the Absolutely Safe Machine or all sorts of other things. Sound good?
This is something that can be very difficult to control. Let me say this for a sec: We all have lives. You, me, everyone here has a life outside of the internet. Because of it, it's difficult to find time to mod battles, that is true. Sometimes, though, multiple updates are the only way to write a battle. If someone can't find the time to sit down and write an entire battle in a day, they can break it up and post it as they go. It's true, waiting for a battle to finish can be annoying, but that's just how the game goes.
Well, by "anything" do you mean basic things like location and Officers? Or do you mean more specific things like troops and War Machines? If it's the former, than I disagree with you, since it's hard to keep an Army hidden from the world. If it's the latter, I agree with you.
I agree.

Ah. Well, there is still a problem of inconsistency; you may recall in that topic, maybe not, but I brought up an example of two heroes pinned down by a couple of dudes with machine guns. Other times, that's no problem at all as they beat back loads of war machines and thousands of infantry; there just isn't consistency, and this is one of the things I think we oughta iron out. Well, maybe. It depends on execution. I'm not trying to turn SMKW into this, but I will show you a thing we have kinda like that. It's called the Universal Store. waterdumple.proboards74.com/index.cgi?board=trade&action=display&thread=1208See, you need resources to build most stuff made of basic materials, and said resources must come from that store. It kills two birds with one stone, because not only does it give you a reason to go to war, but it also makes money worth something. I think we need to implicate something of the sort, to give there more of a purpose to go to war. (There's another thread in that board about what those materials are like.) Good point. However, I think these battles need to remain the size of just one of those updates. Here are a few battles written with the one-update system. Don't feel required to read them, just glance over the length if you want. waterdumple.proboards74.com/index.cgi?board=warzz&action=display&thread=1876&page=1#29299waterdumple.proboards74.com/index.cgi?board=warzz&action=display&thread=1492&page=1#22692As you can see, they get the job done without being really long. Most of the SMKW battles are three times that length, it's just that they're released in segments so it seems shorter. I think that if we made most battles that length and in one update, it would help get 'em done quicker and they wouldn't be such a pain to write. Heck, even those could be cut in two and released in halves if the writer was really busy. It's just my opinion, but I personally think it'd help. Just stuff like location, the fact that the armies exist, and stuff like that. If you wanted to know the exact specifics, maybe you'd have to spy, but just to attack you'd need to know the location. That's all I'm talking about. Good, glad we can reach a conclusion on a few of these.

If we do make troops and heroes consistent, I might rejoin.

I think we should go back to the old troop limit of 150,000 troops with the increased number of troops per day...
Don't ask me why, I just liked it better...
As to Heroes being more consistent and all, I agree with vidguy.

Not really. The major problem with this is you have to get points for the items. To get points, you have to got to wars and lose stuff. And after that you might not have enough points. So you lose massive amounts of troops in, lets say 2, 2 wars all for the sake of one time.

Let's move anyway. SMKW is cluttered like crap, and we already got a bunch of stuff set up.
...I sort of expected this, really, though. Once Petey started the dramatic, heartwarming conversion in great time of need, I figured it'd end with this.

I don't think that SMKW is cluttered, but whatevs. I'm not opposed to moving, but I think that we could still use the site.

There are random sticky topics in most of the boards that have been there since Version 2, and stuff like that. The Mod Court is never used, and so on. I think we should start 100% new. Postcounts gone and all that. Just my two cents.
Wait, one cent. I ate the other one. Water Dumples get pretty hungry sometimes.

but I don't feel like going through and changing everyone's post count, that took forever the first time.

I'll do it if you won't. Gimme the ability and then take it away when I'm done.
