... how are we going to go about resuming the game? Are we going to start Nintendo Wars and cancel SMKW? And what about the Wars?
I think that once we get all set up, we should just change the title from SMKW to Nintendo Wars. If people want to change themes or classes, they can do so without any penalties.
And for the Wars, I swear I'll pull a Petey if we restart it. I've spent about the last year on Jack Spicer's Army, so I'll be damned if all that vanishes!

I think most people wanted Nintendo Wars, and I'm fine with that.
I agree.
I don't play the Wars, so...

the wars can keep going as-is, but I think we should restart for nintendo wars, just to put everyone on even ground again.

I already had everything of mine saved, as well as the Battles in the archives.
But I think that we should just allow theme changes. I mean, c'mon! We just started the Halloween RE (Which you can still send in plans for, btw), the Assault on the Tower of Sorcery isn't done yet, and everyone pretty much is on equal grounds anyway.

My recommendations: SMKW 64 DS -> Nintendo Wars. The Wars and Legion Wars stay as-is.

SMKW 64 DS becomes Nintendo Wars. It's an arrow.

So do you want the benefits of the current armies to pass over to any rethemes? Or do you mean cancel SMKW and start Nintendo Wars fresh?

I think SMKW should start over as Nintendo Wars. I also have ideas for more specifications which I think will stamp out the majority of god-mod claims--You'll notice the very small number of G-M attacks here, which I think is due to more specific rules--But I kinda doubt it'll be accepted.

NO' MO' SPECIFIC RULES!
The games 'r supposed ta be 'bout all the freedom you have in each class! If you start makin' more specific rules, then you take away all dat' freedum!

And I believe that's a direct and complete reason of all the arguing and bickering we had. It was NONSTOP.
...And although I have no respect for him any more, Petey did say that the SMKW members were resistant to change. If folks are smacking down the mere mention of it, I'd say that's pretty bad. Worse than bad. Abysmal.
The game can still have plenty of freedom, even if it takes a couple of specifications on what's allowed to eliminate the bickering.

Hey, now! You can't judge the entire forum based on one person! I'm not resistant to change; I usually embrace new ideas or ways of thinking. I'm resistant to constant altercations that people want implemented right away that'll throw the whole game out of whack.
And Rules like what? I think that all we really should need for limits are on the troop count, Factory rules, Civilians, Heroes, and Uber War Machines- like we have right now.

Sure, you aren't the whole forum, but you are the head administrator of it. And others like Makuta and Merloo seemed to be against stuff like this, although I may be remembering incorrectly. Sure, I'd love to Dumplify the game, but I know my ideas won't be accepted, so I won't speak up about those. Still, I do have one plan I will bring up. The general plan I was thinking about are pretty simple, really. Mainly, we just make the edges more defined and blacker. Less fuzz, less gray. You'll notice by looking at the Approval Centre here, and most logs. Take a look at one of mine, if you want an example. See, everything is laid out fairly clearly; I have a machine area, a defense area, a buildings area, a research/upgrade area...and that might sound restrictive, but you can still design the stuff however you want. In the last version, we cleared up ammunition problems, we cleared up resources issues, we made stuff more specific, and tightened the edges. It's been great. By eliminating magic and vague areas like that, the game is much more streamlined, far fewer arguments and god-mod claims arise, and stuff seems to go faster. In a way, you make everything tangible; everything is made of natural substance, everything can be eliminated somehow.

The Dumple never lies.
EDIT: VGS, its not to limit freedom, its to make things easier and less-confusing. Like the dumple says, we had big resource and ammunition issues last version. More specific rules fixed all of that.
