Okay so now wildlife get an extra super AND more troops per day and BETTER troops too. Okay that is a bit much. Hoctatians cannot match that. Fine they get a lot more factories but it doesn't really add up until base 3 which will take a while. Spaceships are useless as no one can get them so plus hoctatians economic advantage is gone. Too much hoctatian weakaning.

I have to agree. We made the hocatitian a lot worse while we made wildlife better.

I say we just lower the hoco buying price. I think that would even things out.

Hocotatian troop gains are the exact same as Wildlife. How are they getting more troops per day?

No it wouldn't
Using their ability to make supers they can blitz the hoctatians with troops and supers fast, by then hoctatians will only have a few machines, wildlife, If they work fast can have nearly as many, only 4 less, and that is if hoctatians make 2 no resource factories and devote everything else to making machines

If you think you could be rushed, then make defenses, which are not only higher Hocotatian quality but also better then equivalent day in war machines.

So I have to spend all my time building defenses? I shouldn't HAVE to do something to prevent an early defeat.

Things aren't really that bad for hocotatians. Maybe the prices should change at the Universal Store, but that really isn't even nessicary in my opinion. You could build lots of war machines, because that's kind of the point of being a hoco.

Remember, supers aren't invincible. And if you use your machine powers to full advantage (4 factories per base, correct?) pump out 24 50-day machines every 50 OOG days. That can equally match supers. And if you think hocs are so bad, just switch to wildlife.

Remember, supers are invincible. You might want to fix that.

Remember, supers are invincible. You might want to fix that. XD Anyhow, it's a little bit hard to say. Wildlifes and Hocotatians do get the same number of troops per day--50 Ordinaries worth--So that's not an issue. What is an issue, in terms of troops, is that Hocotatians are very limited and not very versatile. You're also forgetting that Hocotatians get significantly better technology than Wildlifes; and let's just say that somebody made a Burrowing Snagret, found a way to get to my island, and assaulted me really early on. By then, I could have made a 50-day tank (Same amount of time for that Burrowing Snagret). Now, this could go either way--If the Snagret went straight for the tank, there could be trouble. But if it starts snapping up my Pikmin, I'm just gonna drive that enhanced tank over there and drill a shell into its head along with some machine-gun fire. That Snagret's gonna be wishing it had stayed underground. Hocotatians also have better technology in general, which means that starting defenses will be better than Wildlife ones, and thus the Hocotatian will be better-protected at the beginning. Everybody is quite vulnerable at the start, and I would agree that Hocotatians are weaker at that point than Wildlifes. However, a bit of preparation and they'll be quite ready to take on whatever is handed to them. For example, I'm already making a Battleship; admittedly, a Mk I, but that's still pretty good considering the enhanced abilities of naval units. Furthermore, if somebody picked on a vulnerable player right after they began, I expect it would ignite the wrath of the great and powerful Hachi! So, I'm willing to hear what everybody has to say on this. I think both sides have good cases.

I'm pretty sure we already had argued the rush strategy.

Well, it sorta makes sense that Wildlife would blitzkrieg weaker bases while the Hocotatians make full-assaults. Wildlife would make more of an effort to pick at the enemy and fight at a good opportunity.
Anyway, it is truely hard to tell the ballance shift of this game, as we've played it for 2 days. If there are problems of balanced, they will be fixed when they appear. In my opinion, the better Hoc tech is enough to make them viable.
