I dunno. You could have maybe checkpoints in various territories. The more checkpoints you control that the trade goes through, the faster the trade goes?

Well, the thing is I don't think trade between armies will be important, at least to my knowledge. In the past war, very little trading was done. Mostly it was in my legendary business shop, but even then, my products aren't something that people would break a blockade for.
The staff controlled trading race could be the answer to this. Perhaps certain areas could be controlled to block access to them. Maybe a RE to capture a certain area and hold it for X amount of days against other army for a reward.

Thats true. But if there was little trading last war, shouldn't something be done to make more happen? I figure there will be more Wildlife buyers, now that they don't have to cough up petals to do projects.

The problem is, in real life, we have comparative advantage. The US could technically make everything, but we usually focus on services and hi-tech stuff. Saudi Arabia spend their time with oil, and Mexico with manufacturing cheap basic goods. Everyone does what they're best at and trade for the rest.
Here, every army is capable of making everything just as well as anyone else. Thus, you don't really need trade, since every army is self sufficient.

Maybe we could simplify the class system and make it so you choose a class to crank out trade goods faster.
-5 days on all ammo, or non-combat based war machines (Bulbmin's things that chewed up buildings and spit back resources is a good example), and that's all I can think of without any real combat advantage.

I'm trying to think of a way to make seizing control of certain areas be vital to trade. I don't like this idea. We only have four areas, and space will probably be sort of cramped. Any number of players could join as well, which means that if you have to constantly fight over territories, new folks will just get wiped away in the crossfire, or they'll at least have a hard time getting established and expanding. I think this this idea of making armies not self-sufficient will in the end result in too many new rules for us to manage, keep track of, and ensure the success of.

Hmm, well I have no other idea about trade. We want all armies to be equal, but that means trade isn't needed. It certainly adds to the fun, but is unnecessary.

I know, I wish it could be more prominent, but there just aren't many ways to do so without pouring on a bunch of new rules.

Yeah, I don't like that that idea either. Lol. But seriously, I don't think that it'll be nessicary. Once the game really gets going, there will be a quite a few shops. I can tell you right now that I'm going to have a few solicitors, and a few other war machines, up for rent.
