Has anybody here heard of de Blob? It's an extremely unique game for the Wii that came out a month or so ago, but...
A third-party game that isn't garbage? What?
Anyways, just referring the majority of 'em, de Blob stands out. For those who don't know about it, you're a blob of paint that rolls around a city splattering color on stuff and slamming members of the INKT union, a group of ink-composed creatures opposed to any color at all who are oppressing the Raydians, a happy bunch of excitable citizens that think color is the best thing ever. The whole story is a joke, but the game itself is...not like much else. You roll around and run into buildings to throw color on them, free Raydians, slam Inkies, and do a bunch of challenges among other things. The music also variates based on what color you're using, which you can switch or mix by rolling into different-colored Paintbots that supply you with your precious goo, and it's all quite catchy.
Anyhow, there's more to it than that, but does anybody else have this game? This is quite a great third-party effort.

Oh, I read about this game in a magazine while I was waiting at the orthodontists. It looked good, and I was thinking of getting it. It looks like you think well of it, so I'll probably pick it up soon.

I saw a review on Gametrailers, and it seemed more like a love/hate kind of game. Personally, I'd probably be screaming at the television screen about how I was one green building away from completing a certain or challenge before I accidentally rolled into a yellow paint ball. Or something.
But, it still looked like an entertaining game. I'll still be playing GoW 2 though, and De Blob is not even close to GoW 2, so the mixing... genres, I suppose, would get annoying.

Yesh, I've heard about it too. It seemed like a cool concept, but I was wary as to whether or not they would pull it off. It sounds like they did, which is cool.
I'll look into it, anyways.

Saw a review and a few people talking about it at the CARA. It seems to be good.

This is a mix of Toon Town, An episode of "House of mouse", and Rayman.

Personally, I'd probably be screaming at the television screen about how I was one green building away from completing a certain or challenge before I accidentally rolled into a yellow paint ball. Or something. Occasionally that is irritating, but frankly, it's hardly ever worth mentioning. There are usually Paintbots wandering all over the place, so only in an occasional place will you almost finish painting a series of buildings before a couple of Leechbots tackle you and suck your color away or that sort of thing. Anyways, IGN has a pretty good video review for it, so you folks ought to check it out.
