So, I'm getting a computer game, and I decided I'm getting an RTS, since I can't play AoM anymore.
Anyone have any good ones that they think that I should get?
I like small tactical battles, if that would help. I don't like games that have only ship battles in space, like Sins Of A Solar Empire.
And something other than Spore and any Age Of game please.

Star wars Battlefront:Clone campaigns is a fun one, but not amazingly tactical, but if you can get it for cheap and there are some really fun times. It's a lot of fun.
P.S. NEVER GET EMPIRE AT WAR! IT SUCKS! Buying it was the worst mistake of my life.

Why not? It's probably the most tactical RTS you'll ever play?

There's an old RTS called Metal Fatigue that I kinda like. You can construct Combots (Large humanoid robots) and put different weapons on each arm and stuff. There are also three levels going on at once; the orbital level above the planet, the ground level on the surface, and then the underground area. It has its flaws, but it's kind of interesting.
I've also heard, although I don't have any of them, that the Command & Conquer: Red Alert games are great, if you don't mind playing an RTS that's basically just a huge joke. The Soviets use Tesla coils and Tesla tanks and Tesla troops and have a trained squid unit and the Allies have trained dolphins and trained bears and a tank that can turn into a tree and...stuff.

The 2nd Red Alert has cartoony graphics and is generally just a hyperbole of war. The 1st is better, IMO, even the graphics suck. You could still generally believe everything (even if it wasn't realistic.)
I'd recommend the newest C&C if you have an up to date computer, otherwise I'd recommend Tiberian Sun.

Well, I think Red Alert 3s pretty awesome, even if it is cartoony, it's still strategical.
So, the question is, should I wait until October 27th when it comes out?

The Red Alert games are MEANT to be jokes. They're like Battalion Wars and the earlier Advance Wars games; caricatures of war. Also, kaka, you should probably wait and see if the third one is any good. Who knows, it could end up being awesome. I don't know a whole lot about it, unfortunately, just about the series in general.

...that game seems awesome too.
Now to decide between Black and White 2 or Red Alert 3...

I guess it'll come down to which one of the games this computer can handle...

I don't know a whole lot about either, but it seems that'll probably be Red Alert 3. Black & White 2 looks like it involves a massive number of polygons.

Every place I look for RTS games, there's Supreme Commander there. I know that I said I liked small groups fighting each other, but everyone is saying that this game's great.
Anyone have it?
