The wollywog is harder in the 2nd game because you can't weigh it down with pikmin.

That, and it's extremely unpredictable. Frequently I'll lose a single Pikmin to one because they're so hard to predict and control, even though I can kill almost every other enemy effortlessly.

I forget. Is the yellow wollywog in the second?
Off topic: Has anyone ever noticed how the back of Perplexing Pool is completely identical to the distant spring?

the yellow wollywog is in both, and the distant spring is the perplexing pool, you can notice some of the unique similarities, yes nintendo reused all levels except the forest navel.
For those who don't know, Impact site=wistful wild, Awakening wood=forest of hope, and perplexing pool=distant spring
also I hate wollywogs, because I used to lose dozens of pikmin to them, and I guess that slowly progressed into a hatred.

Oddly enough, the Wistful Wild also happens to be the Final Trial. However they happened to wind up so close to each other, I don't know, but...well, there you have it. When you come out on the watery area that requires a bridge to be built, with the poison gate just beyond it, you come out on the Impact Site part of it. The bamboo part isn't in either of them, but it's pretty cool how you can see the similarities.

the half of bamboo that you have to cross to get to one of the caves, I didn't know it was part of the final trial, that's pretty interesting
