The Chao Tales (title is a wip, just something to stick while I work) is a homebrew Chao RPG I have decided to start on. The concept actually has been in my head since early 2003 to 2004, somewhere in that frame.
Known Info:
*The Chao Tales will be made on RPG Maker XP.
*I am currently deciding weather to give the game a linear plot or make it open space/sandbox style like Fable.
*The class system is done Chao evolution style. Your stat growth and your actions in game decide which alignment and type you'll become. This also includes two new alignments: Chaotix, and Rose.
*The game also has a alignment system, seen in games like Fable and Shadow The Hedgehog. Your choices not only decide the outcome of your character's type and skills, but also the plot. Yes, there are several 'branches' in the storyline, and by association several different endings.
*The game's method of filling your party is with random recruits. Basically the screen will change to a recruit message screen randomly during the game, epically after completion of missions, mini-games, or battles. You can also talk to NPCs in the game, they may want to join your party. The recruits have random names and stats, and later on in the game, you can even recruit higher rank Chao, meaning say like Dark/Run/Fly, Chaotix/Fly/Fly, etc, instead of the bland Normal Chao in the beginning of the game.
*Besides another handful features for the game, one specific that will be focused on will be a advanced weather season. Specifically in layman's terms, the weather will/can happen, and it will effect movement in maps (i.e, with medium to heavy snow, slower movement) and in battle too.
