Troops
Of Utter Breadiness
Note: The normal breadbug uses it's mouth to carry objects. The troops of the army take this same stance. By biting and making side to side ripping motions, they can easily cause damage and allow blood to flow. The wideness of their legs give them strong support, making them hard to topple. The top of each breadbug has a rubbery layer which absorbs some, but not all, damage.
Ordinary
Red Breadbug:
The Red Breadbug is immune to fire. It's skin has a natural high heat resistance which is scalding heat will not affect their performance. For this same reason even on a hot day they perform greatly. In combat they have basic strength and combat intelligence.
Yellow Breadbug:
The Yellow Breadbug has been genetically modified to be immune to the effects of electricity. Morphing their DNA with that of a rubber glove, any electrical current cannot be conducted through their body. However through normal breeding they weigh less than normal troops. In the field they are a slightly less strong breed but do possess a higher intelligence than that of an average Red Breadbug.
Blue Breadbug:
The Blue Breadbug has the genetic mutation of growing gills. Although they can process H2O into O2, they also can breathe normal Oxygen. Due to the position of the base they are extremely important to production. In combat they possess a slight less ingenuity and strength of a Red Breadbug but are used mostly for their tactical advantages in water.
White Breadbug:
The White Breadbug (also known as Albinos Breadbugis) is a unique breed of Breadbug. Their are generally a smaller Breadbug, giving them less weight to move resulting in a faster, more agile troop. The unique traits of the White Breadbug enable them to detect heat signatures above and underground which is important for spotting out enemy land mines. They also have a lung mutation that can convert any poison (that we have tested so far) into breathable air. This process also works opposite in that when in a dire situation they can produce poison from their lungs, and from their blood. In this way if eaten the white breadbug can damage the enemy who killed them. Their weight in combat slightly hinders the strength of their punch, however they can perform faster than the average Breadbug, making up for the lack of power to their punch.
Purple Breadbug:
The Purple Breadbug resemble the sumo wrestlers of Earth. From eating too much, fat surrounding the windpipe has closed off the majority of airflow into the Purple Breadbug's lungs resulting in the purple hue of their skin. However through rigorous training, most have tried to keep off their weight. The weights that they train with have cause the average Purple Breadbug to be able to lift much more than their Breadbug counterparts. In combat they are a slower Breadbug, but also much stronger (much like a reverse White Breadbug).
Orange Breadbug
The orange breadbug has a pikmin-esque appendage sprouting from their bodies. This appendage does not spring up on any certain spot other than along the spinal column. This appendage has a strong bony leaf that resembles a propeller. Most of the time there are two 'leafs' however in some cases there can be more (up to a max of 5) or only one. These mutations have not been proven to hinder the breadbug's flying capabilities at all. When these leafs are spun fast enough, upward aerodynamic lift is acquired and the breadbug is able to fly. These breadbugs are not immune to any element of nature, however they are seen to fly excellently even through the toughest of storms. One breadbug has the strength to pick up another breadbug of equal or smaller size, anything much bigger than that requires multiple breadbug. These breadbug have average strength and average defense.
Brown Breadbug
The brown breadbug is known to be mostly opposite of the orange breadbug. the orange flies, and the brown digs, simple as that. The breadbug, not being particularly strong are almost never to be seen fighting above ground. Mostly the uniquely shaped thorn-shaped horns that grow out of their bodies is what are used. With these horns, they can maneuver dirt, rock, sand, etc. out of their way, thus creating small breadbug-sized tunnels. However these tunnels are not permanent and after retaining shape for several minutes, will eventually collapse. The brown breadbug has an acute sense of touch and hearing, able to detect where an enemy is above them from vibrations in the earth.
Special
Breadbug Marines:
Breadbug Marines are insanely brutal Breadbug. They are around the same size as a regular Breadbug and can breathe underwater. Their skin has acquired more of an aquamarine hue that camouflages their skin into their usual surroundings (water). They are also a slightly stronger Breadbug but not to the extent f the Purple. They are known to fight with an unforgiving 'no mercy' policy.
Breadbug Pyro:
The Breadbug Pyro is a vicious troop indeed. The natural acids in the Pyro's stomach produce a flammable liquid. The Pryo can secrete this liquid out of it's mouth at any moment. Inside the back of the Pyro's mouth are organic rocks that produce a spark that lights the flammable liquid secreted from the stomach, producing a flamethrower-like effect. The Pyro's external and internal tissues are naturally fire-resistant so that the Pyro cannot harm itself in any way.
Breadbug Grenadier:
The Breadbug Grenadier is a unique, yet dangerous breadbug. The Grenadier's salivatory gland produces unique enzymes that create an explosive substance that the breadbug can either digest in the stomach to become nutrients, or spit out to cause a small explosion.
Elites
Cinnamon Rollbug:
The Rollbug is a large circular disc-shaped creature. It has few small limbs that retract into the Rollbug. When the limbs retract, the Rollbug can more easily roll along it's side. When stopping from rolling, the Rollbug then brings it's legs back out to stop rolling. It's size is quite formidable compared to the ordinary size of a breadbug and can easily crush smaller creatures under its weight.
