This board isn't visited much, so I thought of a contest idea. We could have things such as beating a boss in a certain number of time, or we could post a random flash game every week and see who scores the highest, and the winner post a new one. I also saw a contest where people asked questions, such as how many coins are in an area, and the closest guess gave the next question for that game. Anyone wanna try one of these?

I remember amorphous+! I think after I stopped playing I only had 10-15 achievements left to go! Wasn't there a week where a lot of people here were playing it? Good times.

Yeah, pretty much everyone on the forum was playing it for a week or two! My stats got wiped, so I'm building them up again--have about 80 awards now. I just splatted a queen (Critical, biatch!) so now I'm working on killing a bladequeen. It's pretty tough to do without the grenade or S.C.A.E.R., since that spoils your ability to get the special key...it also practically requires that you use Sprint.

Actually you only need the sword to be the killing blow. I used the S.C.A.E.R and I still got it. Also I'm inept at killing the normal queen. I don't know why though as I can kill everyting else with relative ease.

Oh cool. Do you know if the grenade works too? As it's really hard to get a whole five hits in with the sword or land the turret in the right spot.
The normal queen is tough to deal with, but it's actually easiest if you just stand still. It doesn't do anything funky and will always just come at you head-on, so if you just keep staring at it and swinging right when you think the time is right, you'll eventually land the hit. It will dodge all other earlier swings, allowing you to recover and swing again.

I'm pretty sure. Another easy way to do it is through the S.C.A.E.R at the cornor of the battlefield and the queen will stop and go to destroy it. While she's going over there to destroy it slash her twice with the sword and after she breaks the S.C.A.E.R she'l lose 2 more health in the explotion. After that you'll need to get only 1 more shot in. At least that's what I did and even if it doesn't work it helps a lot knowing she's attracted to the S.C.A.E.R.

Hmm...I sense a little exploitation action. Going to go try that.

I only managed to get 46 awards. My current rewards aren't all that useful to me, Sprint, a wall, the thing that makes enemies go for it instead of me, and Saw Drone.

Yes, well, you wound up with some of the absolute worst. The wall and drone are absolutely pathetic, and the bait is not that great. Mostly just bad luck. The hazard suit is definitely one of the best.

I'm really bad at this game. I have like 35 awards maybe, and I havn't even beat the small nest. I also have only the bait and the one to the right of it (which i'm not exactly sure what it does) And when i've used hazard suit on a different computer, all it did was prevent me from getting stickied, everything else just shredded it. (I still got globbed, melted, and bitten)

The hazard suit protects you from sticky goo, acid, baby clutters, and ink. Considering that acid is an insta-kill and getting gobbed up in any of the other three can mean death quickly, it's extremely valuable. Also, the hazard suit is worn down consistently rather than being destroyed instantly, so it's really helpful. It does protect you from acid, just not if it runs out of energy while you're still in acid.
You might prefer the ballistic armor if you get killed more by biters and the like.

actually now that i used it again, it protected me from acid. I'm not exactly sure WHAT ink is though...

Inkies never show up in small nests, only the larger sizes.
If you run over an ink splat, you slip straight forward for a second and can't swing your sword. The worst is if an Inkie actually runs into you though, it completely blinds you for ~3 seconds. There are awards for surviving an entire blind period and for killing an enemy while blind, though.

Have you killed the razor queen yet? Also I really hate the frosties and torchies.
