Mk. II Artificer Battlesuit (8 days) (20 stainless steel)- This heavy battlesuit is wielded only by officers or other high ranking officials. It allows these valuable pikmin to fight on the front lines of the battle while being relatively safe from harm. The cyber suit contains enhanced engines allowing the wearer to bear extreme weight and actually stand up wearing the suit, considering it's so heavy. The steel can pretty much take a few tank blasts and still offer some protection, but enough battering (like a whole army firing on it) will bring it down. Also boasts an autocannon, a large, arm-mounted gun that fires Heavy MG Chains at a frightening rate. One wearer alone is capable of taking down more than 50 troops without a scratch, let alone 5 men wearing them.
That is the description of them. 20 stainless steel and 8 days shouldn't be enough to protect one unit from surviving multiple tank blasts, let alone give it all the other extra abilities.

The defense seems okay, but everything else is too strong. An elite might have trouble taking down 50 troops without a scratch.

The fact that he says a whole army firing at it is the general limit on when it starts to break is a problem. Definitely overpowered...tank shells (modern ones at least) are built to go through inches of armor composed of superalloys.
My Bayonet Helmets for Breadbugs take a fourth of the resources to make (5), but only protect their heads, give them a better melee attack, and let them dig better.

1. sorry I tend to overexagerate, I'll change the description to a more reasonable level.
2. only officers can wear it, not troops or specials
3. It is 20 stainless steel on one pikmin sized troop, so you'd think that it would give some above average protection
4. I guess I can tone it down a bit since power tech that I'm going to research will give it better armor anyway as well as a close combat weapon.
So I'll take it down to something like this:
Mk. II Artificer Battlesuit (8 days) (20 stainless steel)- This heavy battlesuit is wielded only by officers or other high ranking officials. The cyber suit contains enhanced engines allowing the wearer to bear extreme weight and actually stand up wearing the suit, considering it's so heavy. The steel can pretty much take a tank blast and still offer some protection, but enough battering (like a few dozen troops firing on it) will bring it down. Also boasts an autocannon, a large, arm-mounted gun that fires Heavy MG Chains at a frightening rate. One wearer alone is capable of taking down more than 30 troops with only minor injuries.

In my opinion, you ought to exchange some resources for days. More resources just make it bigger.

I don't think you should be able to upgrade officers to make them so powerful, that's what elites are for.

how about I just take them out to get 40 stainless steel and give 16 days to another project (I built two suits) since obviously you won't be happy until they're nerfed to the point that it wouldn't be worth the stainless steel and time to make them.
