Alright, here's a disclaimer...
DON'T TRY IT ON VETERAN
Seriously. It's flat-out evil. A single guy with a USP can kill you if you're not careful...I just made it through "The Gulag," so with one act left I'm going to go to the end, but GIZE this is hard. Your entire opinion of the campaign will drop if you spend too much time in one sitting with Veteran...by now I'm mostly doing it for Steam achievements.

Finally pulled the blasted thing off...good night, that was ridiculous. Each mission you complete makes you feel like you're out of the hell stretch, but then the next one is only worse.

Several interesting things happened to me in multiplayer.
1. I got nuked... Twice... In a row... Yeah...
2. Somehow got a headshot with a grenade, don't ask me how.
Just thought that those were pretty wierd.

Was it from a grenade launcher or a normal grenade?
If it was from a normal grenade, I think you hit a guy who happened to be almost dead in the jaw. In other words, GOOD THROW.

I still love how you can hit someone in the big toe with a throwing knife to kill them. That, and the Riot Shield can take several gunship shots.

I joined a boosting game. After five easy kills everybody but one person left. Same thing happened on Rundown. But only I got nuked 15 seconds after 2 easy kills.

I had a feeling that this guy was going for a nuke once, but couldn't ever really get to him. Then when I finally get to him, he kills me and gets the nuke from that. The moment after he calls it in, I kill him with Martyrdom.
Possibly the noobiest way to do that, and after it was too late!

Played some more of this at my buddy's house. Have yet to see a nuke, but saw a few Pavlows and such. I'm pretty bad at it right now, but I think that's because I'm primarily using the riot shield, along with throwing knives. I'm curious as to what a few of you guys are using.

Riot Shield, eh? That one seems really tough to use. These are some good, fairly easy-to-use weapons out of each category:
M4A1 (Assault) SCAR-H (Assault) UMP45 (SMG) MG4 (LMG) AUG HBAR (LMG) Barret .50 Cal (Sniper)
Early on you'll probably not have access to the AUG HBAR, but I found the rest to be fairly easy to use. The problem with the Riot Shield is that it doesn't get any better as you use it, whereas there can be as many as 10 attachments for primary weapons. Then you can use cool stuff like sights, an underbarrel shotgun attachment, FMJ bullets, and that kind of thing. There's also a Bling perk that lets you use two attachments at a time if you want more. The only thing I could really figure out to do with the Riot Shield was point it at people and watch them try to get around me until a teammate shot them in the back.
My personal favorite weapon is the MG4 with pretty much any attachment. Give that one a try, it fires kinda fast and is much more accurate than the RPD. They really nerfed that gun from Call of Duty 4. The second-easiest weapon is probably the SCAR-H. It's completely versatile.
Edit: An easy equipment to use is Semtex. The throwing knife is fun, but tough to get hits with.

I generally just use this profile (actually two)
Rifleman:
Fal with ACOG scope or HB sensor(unlocked at 24-29, can't remember) Launcher (any kind works) Claymores Flashbangs Perk 1:Slight of Hand Perk 2:Cold Blooded Perk 3:Commando Deathstreak:Martyrdom
SMG-er:
M146 or something...second one down, with red dot sight SPAS-12 (shotgun) Frags Flashbangs Perk 1:Marathon Perk 2:Hardline Perk 3:Steady Aim Deathstreak:Martyrdom

The throwing knife is fun, but tough to get hits with. Well the riot shield and throwing knife work very well together. The throwing knife (while kinda difficult to use) can by thrown while you have the riot shield out, exposing you for just a split second. My set up on my friends computer was this... Riot Shield AA-12 (w/ grip, going for extended mags) Throwing Knife Flash-bang Scavenger Lightweight Commando Martyrdom/whatever Basically, crouch and rush them (Lightweight helps run faster while crouched) and either hit them with a throwing knife or bash them to death. You could also sit there and take it and hit him with the knife. Scavenger is there so that if you miss with your knife, you get a new one from the guy you killed. Also helps with the AA-12's horrible spare ammo capacity. I think Scavenger pro gives you extra mags, which is good too. Commando is good because you can melee them from farther away with the riot shield, and Commando pro eliminates falling damage, which is always nice. Martyrdom is just there for the occasional kill. I'd totally use blast shield if I didn't have to swap my throwing knife for it. Its kinda hard to pick up, but its very fun, and I'm getting better with it.

That's actually a really good plan for the riot shield, the throwing knife does sound good with that. Scavenger pro is a great perk, I use it with my LMG kit to AT4 aircraft easily (as you can get a second rocket off of a dead guy). If you do try the MG4, though, I'd recommend using the Stopping Power perk. MG4 has low attack power, but good accuracy and fire rate. It's one of the easiest weapons to cancel out the disadvantages. Just got the Get to the Choppa! title.

Just got my first Stealth Bomber from the normal 9-kill streak...very handy. Too often I jump straight to the objective when my killstreak starts to rise and end up losing it, but fortunately the claymore helps prevent people coming in behind you.
What killstreaks are you folks using? Right now I'm using the Counter-UAV, Sentry Gun airdrop, and Stealth Bomber.

I'm using UAV, care package, and sentry/predator missile depending on what map I'm playing on. When I'm doing good I'll switch to Predator missile, harrier, and pavelow.
I got a stealth bomber yesterday in a care package. It got stolen.

I once got an EMP bomb in a package, but it didn't do much...
I use UAV, Care Package, and Emergency Airdrop. Once I actually got enough for a AC130 (got a lot of lucky kills on groups of people who weren't looking) but I didn't have it selected...
