I had some homebrew game ideas that have been floating around in my head for years, and I'm deciding to share them. I'm also listing small gameplay concepts that aren't really plots, or unfinished projects. Note: All of these concepts are copyright of myself, or Miles Castea/Spike the Echidna.
Game Name: Megaman Online: Malfunction
Status: In Head, was once a RP forum
Plot: The game's setting is set during the year of 2037, 50 years after the first Megaman game was released in Japan; and also the 50th anniversary of the series. As a 50th birthday present for all of Capcom's loyal fans, Capcom began working on a huge secret project. Eventually, rumors began to fly...all sorts of rumors, ranging from a super cool 3D remake of the first Megaman game to even a new Megaman anime. Then finally, on 12/25/37, Capcom released the open beta to it's project: a Megaman MMORPG named Megaman Online, BN style. Twist was, you could 'tap' into the game, and become digitized, which made it one of the coolest things of these generation. While logged in, something horrible happens...a intelligent computer virus code-named The Entity hacked into the system and trapped everybody inside. Soon, The Entity began controlling the NPCs, and attacking the players with it's virus minions, where anybody that was KOed apparently was "deleted". You play as a ordinary user (default username is Lionhart, but you can change it), who decides to take matters into his own hands. It seems the AI of the system (well those who where infected), gained intelligence of their own, and gave Lionhart the ability to harm the viruses, and the legendary Z-Saber.
Notes: Lionhart uses freelance style battle-chip decks, but can equip "form" decks, which mimic specific -man characters from the game, such as Elecman and Shademan; and including a few original ones like Muckman (acid and poison theme). He also has some special modes, semiliar to to the drive modes from KHII, including Viri form, Lion form, and Saint mode.
Game Name: The Yoshi Bros (Working Title)
Status: In Head
Plot: It was very peaceful on Yoshi Island, and the three triplet brothers Spark, Blaze, and Friz lived a great life; and they had been blessed by the star spirits, each being able to use their element they represent. Then, everything goes wrong. Boshi and his troops attack Yoshi Island, and enslave the Yoshi villagers, and the three triplet brothers are kicked off the island. The three most go on a quest to stop Boshi, and reclaim their home.
Notes: The game is heavily themed around teamwork, and puzzle gameplay. For example, Spark can electrify either of his brothers to have them successfully pass through a electric gate and press a electrically conducted switch. Also, their field abilities have effects in battle. Like Friz's freeze ability will stun enemies for the first few turns or so.
Game Name: Psychosis
Status: In Head
Plot: It is around 2011, and the ban on genetic experimenting and stem cells has been lifted by mostly all nations. Most of them have made small advancements such as curing diseases and helping injured soldiers rehalibate. However, Germany takes things too far, and began creating human bio-weapons/super soliders. This quickly sparked the World War III, but the war ended quickly because eventually Germany was crushed. Years later, the very teenagers who where born bio-weapons live good lives...but a mysterous government force begins to try to capture them. The main character is a german teenager named Drake who is also a bio-weapon, possessing physic abilities. The game is split into three large parts: 1: The Confrontation with "EVO" (the strange government group that attempts to capture them but eventually Drake completely "destroys" them), 2: The Exodus Brothers (A mysteriously organization inspired by Organization XIII), 3: Zenor (A evil creation who is a clone of Drake, but much much stronger), and 4: The Psykites (mysterious physic entities that cannot be seen by the naked eye, and are extremely vicious and violent).
Notes: The concept will also have a Netplay+ multiplayer function in the game.
Game Name: Breadbug
Status: Postponed
Plot: Bready is a average Breadbug, who hoards objects daily to his cave. However, after he notices the Pikmin's strange behavior, and that it's interrupting his hoarding, he sets out to figure out why.
Notes: Nothing actually
Game Name: Lost Genesis
Status: Postponed
Plot: The setting is set on two alternate Earths, our modern one, and a Renaissance era planet that flourishes with magic and swordsmanship. The two words are seperated by a dimensional barrier called The World Thread, and so it barriers their interaction with the opposite planet, and also caused some technological in-advancements. However, a mysterious force is causing gaps in the thread, causing dimensional portals to appear on both planets. A young boy finds one and ends up getting himself sent to the other planet. A mysterious creature named The Entity has been the reason, slowly devouring the thread, piece by piece. If the thread breaks, and the planets collide because of this missing thread, it will cause massive geological damage, and probably end both civilizations. Can this boy save the thread or will it be the end?
Notes: I worked on this 3-4 years ago, but it's data got erased accidentally.
Game Name: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: Morals and Truth (Working title)
Status: In Head
Plot: The game takes place in the FFTA Ivalice. A mysterious force has taken over the country, named The Empire. Soon, things get out of hand (semiliar to hwo it was in FFXII), and a young male from Earth takes things into his hands to stop them.
Notes: I would love to make this dream real...
Game Name: The Chao RPG
Status: In Head/Did some eventing for it years ago
Plot: Basically your typical RPG, but entirely Chao style.
Notes: Nothing
