Congratulations to both of you. It seems that there were good tactics on both sides, with Joe using high ground as an advantage and Luftwaffle making use of his tanks' defense to move ahead.
However, Joe, I do think that you should try to make more of an effort to remain calm even after results like this. I recall Rocky being very graceful upon being defeated in the last version, and you can become very respected with an attitude like that.
I would also recommend making defenses earlier as a game strategy. For example, I used some precious resources to build a Battleship early on, but that's not particularly easy to counter and although it delayed my progress a little bit, it's a lot of protection that lasts.

Are we trying to have at least one army defeated per version? We have kaka, Rocky, and now Joe...

Great battle Maka! Had you not italicized King Waldo, however...
In all seriousness, it was well written and concise, two things I love to see in a battle. Lufty, you must've had great plans, so I commend you on that. Joe, take defeat in pride, man. Sure, maybe you didn't like how he attacked so early, but don't hold grudges (like you have been with some of your posts directed at him, it seems). It makes the forum-going a little more awkward for the rest of us.

Sure, maybe you didn't like how he attacked so early, but don't hold grudges (like you have been with some of your posts directed at him, it seems). It makes the forum-going a little more awkward for the rest of us. I think you guys have misunderstood my annoyance. I don't hold grudges, and I don't intend to hold one against Luftwaffle. I was just a little mad that I was so close to surviving. If the attack had been declared only twelve hours later, I would have had a bomber to help take out the tanks. It's like when you geet really close the end of a game and the power goes out before you can save, needless to say I was mad that I was so close to surviving. I'm not mad at Luftwaffle at all, he had an excellent strategy, I just wish he had used it twelve hours later... The things I said to Luftwaffle were advice, although they ended up sounding more bitter than I had intended. He says that the game is completely favoring the defender, but at the same time he sent most of his army to attack someone so early in the game. What I meant was that doing this probably wasn't the best idea, seeing as he's now much more vulnerable to attack. I have to say though, this may be one of those blessing-in-disguise things. To be honest, I missed the variety of being a wildlife army, and I wasn't having much fun with Igor and the Loan Sharks. I think this new army better suits me anyway. I never was very good with having a lot of war machines (I think I had 5 total from my two armies last game). I thought I'd give being a hocotatian a try, and I didn't really like it that much, so I'm not all that torn up about losing Igor. I'm sorry if it looks like I was being a poor sport about it, but I really don't have any hard feelings toward Luftwaffle at all. I've never been one to hold a grudge.
