Operation Hai--Zerstörer
The air was cold. Not that such a thing was unusual. The air was always cold. Colder than ice. But today, it was especially cold. The All Devouring Black Hole Loan Sharks were, quite literally, chilling out on their giant mountain. Nothing could touch them while they were on the summit. Nothing whatsoever.
From atop a watchtower, one of the pikmin in Igor’s army noticed an advancing force headed straight for their mountain. He sent a signal to Igor from atop the tower.
“Quickly, everyone, defensive positions!” Igor shouted. Unfortunately, he realized, none of his pikmin knew what he was saying. He pulled out his whistle and started blowing it rapidly, directing pikmin to their positions. He also sent a messenger to King Waldo in the hope that he would reach his ally in time. It was a distant hope, but it was worth a shot. At the very least, King Waldo would know who to have his revenge on.
Soon, the advancing forces were in range. Tanks started firing shells at Igor’s watchtower. Within a few shots, it was down.
Igor and his pine-min raced down the mountain, ready to stop their foes. Igor tossed some at the tanks, while most of them dealt with enemy infantry. The tanks fired back with rounds of shells, and the sounds of screaming, dying pikmin filled the air. Igor looked around at his scattered troops and decided to retreat back up to the mountain. From there, yellow pikmin tossed bomb rocks down on the enemy troops. It was much more difficult for the tanks to hit the pikmin then for the pikmin to hit the tanks.
However, there was much more than just armor for the Loan Sharks to deal with. Soon, their attackers were sending up a battalion of green pikmin to strike from the air. At this, Igor merely laughed, commanding his own green pikmin to go up and counter the enemy troops.
However, Igor had failed to realize the full extent of his enemy’s strategy. Soon, more enemy pikmin closed in on his own, surrounding and quickly finishing his troops. His enemies were left with air superiority.
Green pikmin went down to the tanks, picked up Borborbs, and proceeded to use them to bomb the Loan Sharks. Igor and his pikmin rushed around rapidly as all around them explosions filled the air. At this point, it seemed as if he could do nothing to stop his aggressors. If it weren’t for his mountain, he’d have been overrun by now. But the location of his base was about to aid him once again.
One green pikmin started to falter in its flight through the sky. It was simply too cold. The pikmin fell out of the sky, doomed.
Soon, dozens of pikmin met a similar fate. In fact, both armies were heavily damaged by the cold. However, Igor’s pine-min were still doing wonderfully well. At this opportunity, Igor capitalized. He went over to his pine-min, and brought them down the mountain.
Using his cold-immune pikmin, Igor began to gain back ground on his enemies. He turned his attention to one of the tanks. Mustering all his strength, he and the pikmin were able to bring it down. However, casualties were once again, too large, and he was forced to retreat back up the mountain to regroup.
The tanks and green pikmin continued to bombard Igor. It seemed as if he was assured a loss. Enemy troops closed in from all sides, preparing to ascend the mountain for the final push.
Igor called his remaining pikmin to his side. This would be his last stand. He used them to their fullest potential, destroying as many enemy troops as he could. Eventually, the tanks ran out of ammo. This was Igor’s chance. He proceeded to destroy two more tanks before the last of his pikmin were destroyed. At that point, he only had one chance for survival. He turned and ran.
His enemies pursued him all the way to the Ammunitions Storage, but none dared go inside. All knew the fate that awaited them if they entered the storage. They decided to wait. Igor waited as well. Eventually, they decided to appease him. A single fiery blowhog entered the building, and set fire to the explosives.
Soon afterward, everything the Loan Sharks had once owned had been looted, and their enemies had marched away victorious. Their mission was a success.
