oh noes god-mod topics before the game even started! D:
Well, it's better to do that now then when the game actually starts.
So anyway, in Petrosians application he has, in my opinion, these over-powered Snapping Turtles.
They are ordinary troops, but have heavy armor, can swim, can move as fast as a White Pikmin in the water, and have armor piercing bites. And can swim underwater for 5 minutes, I think it was. And they can carry something small like a pikmin. I just think that's too many powerful abilites for an ordinary. Maybe for even a special troop also. They're much slower on land is their only weakness.
His argument is that you should just stay out of the water where they are.
Although you mods are probably too busy to deal with this cuz you're getting the new version set up.

Yeah, although I think that they would be fine as Special troops, they definitely too powerful to be ordinaries.

If you ask me the are on the fence between a special and super troops. Plus with 500 of those little (or big) demons they could wipe out 1/2 of a average size navy within a attack and maybe a raid! For example:
1 battleship 2 aircraft carriers 2 heavy cruisers 4 light cruisers 10 destroyers/ destroyer escorts( a lees powerful version of a destroyer)
The possible end result of sunken ships: 1 battleship sunken 1 aircraft Carrier sunken 2 heavy cruisers sunken 3 light cruisers sunken 6 destroyers/ destroyer escorts sunken
Again this is a hypothetical scenario.

Uh, I honestly doubt that they'd do that much damage. They definitely aren't super quality, nor are they ordinaries. They're specials. I would have no problem with these if they were specials, but he's going to have hundreds, probably thousands, of these things swarming the waters.

Let's wait for Mod people to input. But I think they're broken, mainly cause these go in the same category as Pikmin. These have 3, 4 special qualities and a Pikmin has one, maybe two. (Water Resistance, Poison resistance, etc.)

These are indeed overpowered. In fact, they're overpowered for Specials. White Pikmin speed and armor-piercing bites, full mobility on both land and water, and the ability to submerge...far too much.
The argument to just stay away from them is pretty useless. It's like making an invincible unit and saying that it's no problem if you just stay away from it.

So exactly what is going to be done to the turtles? Are they going to be completely taken away or reduced in power to be given the choice of one special or the other?

Mind taking a look at my last post in my application? I've given a better explanation there. It's pretty much evened out to have the in-water and out-water stats averaged to be the same as the Red Dwarf Bulborb. Just do some math.

Mind taking a look at my last post in my application? I've given a better explanation there. No, you didn't. You worded it slightly differently, but they were still God Mod. It's not that we don't understand what you meant, you're just wrong. These things are not on the same level as Pikmin, Dwarf Bulborbs, or Wogpoles. These are special creatures, and there are even a few people who believe that they're stronger than specials. You aren't going to win this arguement. So either change them or get something else. EDIT: I just saw your edit. You have them, slightly worse than a Dwarf Bulborbs (they're slower, I believe) on land and way better when they're in the water. That's hardly a trade off.

Well, what do you think my turtles can do? They probably would lose most land wars, and win most naval wars. I positioned myself to put myself on an island. What I am doing is turtling. Do you think it's possible for me to launch an assault and create a lake in front of you're base? This is pretty much the same as creating base defenses with everything you have and someone else saying it's overpowered. Turtles are literally base defenses in troop form. Unless your base is right in the water, which is impossible.
