Get ready for a wall'o'text!
Technology
Our first topic will be our Buildings.
We start with the Vehicle Factory. Simply put, it is a building that cranks out cars and tanks. As we speak, it goes into construction. It should take roughly 60 days and four feet of iron to complete. When finished, this extremely handy machine will pump out land vehicles... at no cost! I, King Waldo, remained baffled at the concept, that without materials, a tank can be made! However, it still does take time to make... weird, no?
The next building I, King Waldo, will focus on is the FourSquare. I, King Waldo, just came up with that name... on the spot! This building is composed of the Barracks, the Weapons Storage, the Resource Storage, and the Ammunition Storage. These four buildings are all combined into one larger, interconnected square building. There is one FourSquare at each base. Handy, no?
Finally, I, King Waldo, will talk about our newly constructed Airport. This is a factory (of sorts) that produces, holds, and repairs all Pillian Aircraft. Judging by its exterior, it looked like it took 40 days to build and roughly 4 iron. However, our army didn't construct it; no, it appeared in the veil of night! Considerably odd, no?
Now, we shall move right into our discussion on Pillian Base Defenses. As mechanical mastermind of such defenses, I, King Waldo, shall give you a quick rundown on their function.
As you read this, the Royal Pillian Army currently employs only two types of base defenses: the first being the Watchtower. Take a gander at its name to get its function: it's a tower built to watch out of! A tall wooden structure with a ladder leading up to a spacious cabin near the top, this defence is designed for spotting approaching hostiles. Right now, the Royal Pillian Army has two of these formidable, 20-day structures protecting our base: one at the Northern Gate, and one at the Eastern Gate. In addition, I, King Waldo, have given my consent to 40-day, 2 iron upgrades to both these towers. They are both significantly stronger now. They have been given more height to see even further. And, I, King Waldo, thought it be smart to give them each two Blast Rock Launchers at the very top. Due to the altitude of these Launchers, they can shoot extremely far and high. Even low-flying aircraft are in trouble! See what happens when you let I, King Waldo, upgrade a non-combat Base Defence into a combatant! Sneaky, no?
The second and final type of base defence that I, King Waldo, make use of is: the FLAK Turret. This, 20 day, 1 Iron, rotating turret has one purpose: taking down aerial troops. Firing Medium FLAK bullets, this defence is specifically designed to combat planes and flying troops. It has a great range of fire and is aimed by one of my Royal Pillian Soldiers. Anti-air, no?
Ah! After a short delay, it is I, King Waldo, back with a rather brief discussion on Ammunition.
Starting with our unique ammunition: Pellets. Pellets are much like another type of ammunition known as BorBorbs. There are six type of pellets that can be used, and it is all random. Even a courageous and handsome king like myself can't figure out the pattern! The six types are:
- Red 1 Pellet: small explosion
- Yellow 1 Pellet: small thunderbolt
- Blue 1 Pellet: small water explosion
- Red 5 Pellet: big explosion
- Yellow 5 Pellet: big thunderbolt
- Blue 5 Pellet: big water explosion
So, at any point, any one of those types could be fired.
Secondly, there is the Light Multi-Purpose Shells. This is the description I received:
"A mix of HE and AP shells, the Multi-Purpose shells were designed to take on as many different types of units as possible. They are geared slightly more in favor of armor-piercing, however, as tanks pose a slightly greater threat than infantry. The shell is still efficient at killing both, though, as it can pierce armor well, as well as knock out tight groups of infantry, or flush them out of cover."
Then there is the Medium FLAK Shells. This is the description I received for them:
"Fairly small shells, they can be fired in rapid succession from anti-air guns. These will explode in mid-air near air craft or flying units, punching holes in them and bringing them down. The shrapnel that rains down from the explosion can be quite a hazard for infantry, vehichles, and open-turret tanks. In addition, due to the explosive nature of the round, it is quite effective against infantry, though not quite as effective as against planes."
Next up is the Free Tatoos. Here is the description given for them:
"I've added my own person touch to each of these little things. They're basically bullets, the only thing is that on the tip of these babies is an engrading of my face on it. Every time it hits something, it leaves a branding of my face on whatever it hit. If you survive geting shot by one, you won't soon forget who's army shot you. Other than that, they're basically normal bullets."
Next comes the explosive Blast Rocks. These are small, gray rocks with cracks on the outside. Upon impact (after being shot out of something or thrown or what not), these explode rather violently!
Finally, there is the BorBorbs. This is the description I, King Waldo, received when I got this ammunition type:
"Now, these are unique things. BorbBorbs are somewhat squishy balls colored like Bulborbs that explode on contact with their target. So a Red BorbBorb would be red with white spots, an Orange BorbBorb would be orange with black spots. BorbBorbs are about the size of bomb rocks. They're used as ammunition, but are very unpredictable. The explosion they create is also about that of a bomb rock, but every time you fire a BorbBorb, you never know what kind will come out. Here are the possibilities.
Red BorbBorb: Has a bigger explosion than normal.
Orange BorbBorb: Travels to its target much faster than ordinary.
Hairy BorbBorb: Explodes as normal, but leaves a bunch of white hair behind to make it hard to see.
Spotty BearBear: Bursts into smaller BearBears that all explode, doing widespread damage.
Air BorbBorb: Homes onto the nearest foe.
Green BorbBorb: Explodes into slimy goo, which sticks to things and reduces mobility.
Brown BorbBorb: Plants itself in the ground or wall and acts like a mine.
Fiery BlaxBlax: Leaves a bunch of fire where it blew up.
Emperor BlaxBlax: There's a random chance of this happening, which is quite small. An Emperor BlaxBlax is extremely powerful, much bigger than normal, and causes a lot of damage."
Subjects! It is I, King Waldo, with great news: we have constructed our first war machine! In light of this, I, King Waldo, noticed we didn't have a scroll for War Machines. The travesty! Well, I, King Waldo, being the courageous and handsome leader that I, King Waldo, am, decided to fix that this instant! I, King Waldo, will list the various planes, trains, and automobiles that will make up the mechanical force of the Royal Pillian Army!
The first is a simple tank: the Pellet Tank! Made out of any one building material and built in 40 days, this looks like your stereotypical tank. It has a rotating machine gun turret that fires Multi-Purpose Shells; the turret can rotate 360 degrees (in seperate motion of the tank) and can tilt 25 degrees. There is also a small chute leading behind it that drops Pellet Bombs behind the tank. Besides those somewhat unique features, it is just your typical tank. Plain, no?
The only other "tank" in our army is a foreign tank: the Spekov Light Tank III! This is the description that I, King Waldo, received:
"A slightly more versitile tank than its short-barreled variant, this tank sacrifices some infantry killing power in order to take on other vehichles of its class with ease. It still sports the 2 MG-44s, but its barrel length has increased, and now utilises Light Multi-Purpose Shells. It now uses its main gun mostly for fighting vehichles, although it can be switched to kill groups of infantry. Overall, an effective tank, it is still stopped by heavier tanks, unless it can get the jump on them and target its weaker rear armor. 25 days production time."
The next is our first airplane: the Avro Arrow! This sturdy plane is constructed out of 1 Stainless Steel, 1 Aluminum and is built in 60 days. This type of airplane, known as an interceptor, is built for the sole purpose of taking down advancing enemy aircraft. No bomber is safe with this in the playing field! It is incredibly quick, able to reach amazing altitudes in seconds flat. It outmanouevers any plane in the sky. It can shoot Blast Rocks out of main cannons (or any type of large, bomb-like ammuniton (even missiles)) and has multiple machine gun-like weapons for firing rounds and rounds of anti-air Medium FLAK. The Stainless Steel around key damage points (like the engine, main part of the chasis) ensures this ship can take a beating. Strong, no?
Our second type of airplane is the Avro Lancaster! Made out of 1 Stainless Steel in 40 days, this heavy plane is perfectly designed for bombing missions! The bottom of the plane opens up to unload a large number of Blast Rocks or any other type of heavy ammunition. Tail and top gunners shoot any sort of machine-gun ammunition to keep away other planes. Explosive, no?
The third plane currently employed is the Avro 626. Made in 20 days out of 1 Aluminum, this nimble plane is perfectly designed for spy missions. It is small and light, and rather quick. It is relatively quiet as well, and all three of these qualities make it perfect for spy missions. However, it can't really take a hit, and its only weapon is a machine gun cockpit behind the two main cockpits. Stealthy, no?
Covering all three types of War Machines, the next machine I, King Waldo, will describe is our first boat: the A-to-Zap! Boat! This nimble boat is constructed out of 1 Copper and built in 20 days. It is rather light and nimble, so it zips around on the water. At these high speeds, it gains charges (from friction). It then discharges the electricity through the copper and the water, causing, well, the water to be shocked. This is fatal for water-going troops nearby and can be rather harmful to boats in the area. However, it doesn't have any guns on it. Shocking, no?
The second (and only other) type of boat found in the Royal Pillian Army is the Transport Ship. Made in fourty days out of 2 Steel, this sturdy, but slow, ship is perfect for hauling a large number of machines and troops. Freight-ening, no? You see that pun there? I, King Waldo, should be a stand-up comic, eh?
I, King Waldo, will mention our final War Machine type (for now, anyways), known as: the Sticky Ball! This rolling ball is constructed of 2 Groinkum, 1 Tar and is built in 60 days. This ball rolls around the field. The groinkium it is made of sucks war machines onto it. The tar means that they have little to no chance of escaping. After it collects some, it will roll back to our base, where the vehicles will be scraped off. They will probably be un-usable, so we, the Royal Pillian Army, will break them down into their base resources, for our gain. Beneficial, no?
Troops
Soldiers (Ordinaries)
Iridescent Flint Beetles:
- The very core of our army! These mean, green, fightin' machines strike fear into the heart of our foes! The specialty of these beetles is their extraordinary shell, as it gives them an outstandingly tough defence. However, after I, King Waldo, train them myself, these men will also be trained to be quite handy in combat as well.
Upgrades:
- Pincer Power!: These valiant warriors now have deadly pincers. If you get chomped by these, look out!
Weapons:
- Flint Cannons: Certain troops of this family are being upgraded with small cannons on their backs. These cannons shoot Pellet Bombs at a surprisingly fast pace. Since the Iridescent Beetle family stores Pellets naturally, they have a high amount of bombs at their disposal. Currently, 600 troops are equipped with these cannons.
Iridescent Glint Beetles:
- You change one letter of a name, and look what you get! These shiny speed demons are as valuable as "gold" to our army. You see that pun there? Anyways, these troops aren't much of fighters. However, they are quite the distraction: no troop can possibly resist trying to catch this rather elusive soldier. His sturdy shell will also protect him from the barrage of attacks he faces.
Upgrades:
- Pincer Power!: These valiant warriors now have deadly pincers. If you get chomped by these, look out!
- K-ounteracting Kaboom!: When hit, these troops will drop large quantities of nectar and pellets. Opposing troops are attracted to the healing nectar and the pellets, but watch out: these pellets are now explosive!
Doodlebugs:
- What a smelly bunch! These stinky bugs don't just "fart around" in our army! No, these soldiers are here for one purpose: their fatal poison. Breathe in too much of their gas, and it could spell a quick end for you! Most of the time, it just knocks out or stuns troops momentarily. Unfortunately, their farting ability replaces their sturdy shell, meaning they can't take a beating like Flint and Glint Beetles can.
Upgrades:
- Pincer Power!: These valiant warriors now have deadly pincers. If you get chomped by these, look out! As well, their bite is poisonous, so if not treated soon, it can kill/paralyze the foe!
- Exploding Expiration: When these noble warriors die in battle, I, King Waldo, would not want to be near them! When killed, they have been trained (somehow...) to release all of their poison in a large cloud around them. Although this could affect some of our own troops as well, they now know to stay away from the Doodlebugs.
Knights (Specials)
Zooming Dirigibugs:
- What a strange name: I, King Waldo, have no clue what it means! No matter. These ballon-riding knights are looking to "pop" you at any chance they can. They fly swiftly overhead, looking for large bunches of troops. When they spot a significant number, they swoop in, dropping Blast Rocks. And we all know what Blast Rocks do: blow stuff up! However, if their balloons are popped, it does take a while for them to re-inflate them.
Upgrades:
- Durable Dirigibles!: The balloons used to fly have been re-inforced to avoid popping unless very harshly attacked.
- Zooming Z-elebration!: They have been upgraded from regular Careening Dirigibugs to Zooming Dirigibugs. This greatly increases their speed and somewhat increases their defence.
Antenna Beetles:
- These are valiant knights that joined my noble cause when the spiritual ruler of Pillia, Hypnos, became a warrior. They have a way of controlling opposing troops; what I, King Waldo, mean, is that they can almost take over one's mind with their odd call. It only works on Pikmin, however.
Upgrades:
- N/A
Warriors (Supers)
Snowy Cannon Beetle:
- His frosty exterior sends chills down the spines of his enemies! This furry beast is well-suited for the harsh cold of Pillia. His fur and bulk not only keep him warm, but absorb attacks. His main means of attack is to fire snowballs at the enemy. In the snowy conditions of the Valley of Repose, these balls grow bigger as they roll, henceforth causing great damage!
Upgrades:
- Armour Addition!: This large beetle is now outfitted with two pieces of Pikmite to help him absorb blows rather easily. The armour is set in the most recent trendy style (so he isn't commiting any fashion faux-pa's... not in the Royal Pillian Army does anyone look like they lived in the 80's!) and is still rather light. It also protects him from most fire-based attacks, helping cover a previous weakness of his.
- Muddy Maneuver!: In warm conditions (or areas without snow), he can now shoot Mud Balls. They have largely the same effects as the balls, except they don't grow as large and are sticky.
- Pincer Power!: This valiant warrior now has deadly pincers. If you get chomped by these, look out!
- Snowy Summoning!: The SCB brings cold and snowy weather where he goes, and since he is naturally stronger in the cold and others are naturally weaker in the cold, this plays to his advantage.
Armoured Decorated Cannon Beetle:
- Not exactly the most handsome warrior, but this tank of a man is not one to be messed around with! His main attack method is quite similar to the Snowy Cannon Beetle. However, his "balls" are actually gigantic rocks! Much more devestating than snow, eh? Add that to his pure bulk and you've got a natural killer!
Upgrades:
- Decoration Declaration!: This previously undecorated beetle is now decorated! This 35-day upgrade now has his rocks home in on metallic foes, including captains and war machines!
- Brisk Barrage!: This here is a good upgrade! The ACDB can now shoot three rocks either at once or in succession. Although there is a slightly longer reload time, he can still shoot one at a time with the usual reload time.
- Pincer Power!: This valiant warrior now has deadly pincers. If you get chomped by these, look out!
- Sunlight Spew!: His black skin absorbs sunlight, and, during a battle, he can release it in extremely powerful waves. However, due to the nature of the energy used, it takes a while to recharge the attack.
Hypnos (Giant Antenna Beetle:
- Woah! The bulk on this one! The heavenly ruler of the nations of Pillia, this odd creature transcends you and I, King Waldo. However, he is quite the adept fighter! He has a way of controlling opposing soldiers' minds. Although he can do the same to us, he leads us to happiness and goodness. With opposing troops, however... be warned!

With opposing troops, however... be warned!
