Another example
If I tell 1 pikmin to attack a bulborb. It will die. If I do this 10 times, the pikmin will die. Most likely if I do this 50 times, then they will still die, or at least a lot. Does that mean it equals 50 min? No it doesn't. It means my strategy sucks.

Well, you see, there's a flaw in all your arguements. No one is that stupid. I'm sure that all the members here know not to send Pikmin at bulborbs one at a time, or send blue pikmin in packs of five at them. They know that all they have to do is get a few pikmin at the enemy bulborb, and it'll die. Or, just throw stuff at it.
EDIT: But, I think, this arguement is getting off the main subject.

This is getting off-topic; that little spat does not need any more contribution. Why don't we get back to the issue at hand, people.

Anyway...
What I'm trying to say is that, the original Pikmin can deal with most creatures, and if you can recruit a bunch of different types as a Hocotatian, then they can deal with enemy troops as effectively as Wildlife.

Simple method to deal with Hocotatian, use Mitites, Antenna Beetles, and Puffstools.
