There should be some sort of yearly thing for certain holidays, unless it offends people...

I suppose we could, but I do recall telling old Petrosian, basically, to be politically correct when he had a hammer and sickle in his avatar.
...Still, that advocates communism, not just a holiday. So maybe we could do something. But the Evil Turkey Monster on Thanksgiving does suffice well enough, in my opinion.

EVIL TURKEY MONSTER IS EVIL
I'm pretty sure you were here for it, Piklord. He replaced all the the's with turkeys, remember?

IN SOVIET CANADA, THANKSGIVING IS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER!
That's why we don't have specified holidays. And because of religions, although I guess we could only "celebrate" secular holidays.

If we did any, we would have to recognize most all holidays.

Wouldn't it be simpler to just celebrate holidays that members celebrate?
We won't celebrate Australian Thanksgiving unless someone here is Australian- it just wouldn't make sense to do it otherwise.

In SOVIET AMERICA, Thanksgiving CELEBRATES YOU!!! But, seriously, thanksgiving shouldn't be celebrated here. An explorer got killed once for wherein a turkey on his hat... In turkey.

So.... why shouldn't we celebrate thanksgiving? I agree more with VGS in saying that it shouldn't be celebrated unless one of our active members celebrates that holiday.

I don't think there's any problem celebrating Thanksgiving here, but what are you going to do? Type up a speech on what you're thankful for? A random event?
