Here's a powerful defense that I was planning, but it might have too much resources/too powerful.
Firewall Large wall that completely blocks off the top section of the base. In times of war, it can be light on fire with Flame Shatter Mortar. Reusable, but the wood needs to be replaced every use. 100 days.
Resources: 300 wood, 300 clay, 100 Pikmite, 100 Blowhogium.

Do you mean it basically makes a flaming shield over your base? Considering the number of days, that seems somewhat fair for the resources, but if it's not supposed to be collapsible by bombs and such, you'll need a lot more resources. Think about how large a base has to be to hold factories, mines, multiple buildings and defenses, all your troops and machines, the likes. Orangutan, that's definitely fair. Not that Hachi didn't already approve it, just backing that up.

Combat Knives: an upgrade that gives all red pikmin long combat knives that can be used as a close assault weapon (only a small boost, like 1.5x attack strength or less) for 200 iron, 28 days, and 56 petals)
Also, what would I use for Kevlar armor? I was thinking of just making a material called Cloth Compound that has build strength 1 but has build strength 4 against projectiles.

You make numbers of equipment, not an infinite supply. Combat knives are completely acceptable equipment, though.
You can't make your own material.

well I need a build material and none of the things in the build materials section fit. As I recall someone made something like ruborium or something?

Was the Boucium ever approved?
I know we don't got anything that's like cloth, but why not try Pikmite to make armor? It's light, stronger then Iron, and fireproof.

I don't think any suggested metals have come in for a while, though we did rename some things, such as how Cobalt is now Groinkium.
Come to think of it, why did we do that again? Cobalt sounds better.

It makes it seem more pikminesque.

Okay, I need some things approved.
Grappling Hook Type: Weapon Days: 10 days for 1 Materials: 20 Iron General Description: A never-fail hijacking equipment. Although it does have some limitations...
1. It may only be used 3 times per battle 2. If used in battle, it will dissapear pernamently after the battle is completed.
PMC (Premium Mitite Commando) Type: Troop, Elite Days: 65 days General Description: An ordinary mitite, with a few twists...
1. Along larger health for being a elite, this mitite has health regeneration. 2. The ability to disguise self as an enemy if hiding in a vechicle (only usable if no one knows of his presense; ability dissipates as the General is approached.)
Destructoball Type: War Machine Days: 50 Days Resources: 100 Iron Description: Its a weapon of destruction, its weapon is its speed... and itself. Note that it has no weapon research, since its ram attacks rely on its speed and defence.
Torpedo Sub Type: War Machine Days: 40 Days Resources: 100 Iron Description: Its a standerd submarine... what else could it be.
That should be good... for now.

The last three looks fine are fine.
I got some question about the first one.
1. What do you mean by hijacking? Is it suppose to convert enemy machines to your side or simply latch on to something without fail?

Convert Them. It is to be noted that in this special case (I was low on time when I posted it) that due to the damage caused by the insanely quick latch on, the war machine suffers unrepairable damage (i.e. it won't last after the battle)
I am willing to make changes if nessecary for the first one.

Ammuntion Type: Deadly Poison Gas 40 Days? When this gas goes near troops, and is inhaled, it burns their lungs and mouth and can kill in around 5 seconds for an ordinary and 10 for a special. If troops make it out of the gassed area quick enough, they will just have a shortness of breath and will not be able to run as much as they used to be able to. It can seep through doorways and other small cracks. Depending on the way the gas is sprayed, it can stay around for a few minutes, or just thirty seconds or so, and goes, in an open space, about one and a half bulborbs high. If enough is sprayed in a closed place it can filll up the whole room, and stay there for a while.
Troop Weapon:
Poisoner
30 Days for 100 of them? Is that too much or too less? 1 material for each? Or 2? Or 3? idunno
These jetpack shaped weapons go on the backs of troops that can survive poison, like white pikmin, and those that have gas masks. By pushing down on a lever on the device, poison gas starts jetting out of the device and surrounds the nearby area, around three pikmins length in a circle. It is used to aid troops in close quarter combat by poisoning nearby enemies. However, they can't use it near troops of mine that cannot survive poison gas or they will die. The weapons can only carry about three sprays worth of gas.
