Since Chaosblade is so close to my base, would it be safe to assume I know he exists now?

I dissagree. If people were within a short distance of someone else they would see them! Are our troops blind when not in combat? I mean come on! I really think we shouldn't have to scout our area. I mean. Troops don't stay in bases 24/7 in real war do they?

Yea, they do. The only difference is in real war there are many more things to consider, and they aren't stalemates and such for this long.

We're assuming the landscape is much... grander than the real map. So "a couple of feet away" could possibly mean "a couple miles away" in the game.
Besides, we're also not being "canon" (so to speak) to actual wars, so we don't need to comply with what would make sense IRL (in real-life).

Suppose that every area in Pikmin/Pikmin 2 is completely flat and has no barriers. You can just run from one side to the other with no problem. Pick an average-sized one, like the Awakening Wood. Now run to the other side of it. On average, without the Rush Boots, it'll take...about one minute. Now let's blow that up to our game's proportions: Six days. That would make for quite a distance. Sorry, but you'll need to scout your area.

Uhhh no actually. Our games proportions are Real time x 4 So it would be 4 minutes. So unless our areas are 2160 times bigger It wouldn't take 6 days. (Yes I figured that out with a calculator)

True, but can one area fit thousands of troops like we have now? The caves certainly don't. So, everything has been expanded a lot.

(Yes I figured that out with a calculator) Read the rules again, since you don't seem to know what I'm talking about.. By our game's proportions, it takes six internal days to go from one end of a regular-sized area to the other.

I guess...and about being cannon to RL. I see no point to scouting exept to be realistic. All it does is make us spend petals and time and bug us.

Remember all the whining on SMKW about "You don't know about me?" "But there's no rule on that." "But you still can't attack me." Yeah. We're making it official so none of that happens.

I think we should do away with it. It only make combat take longer. It really bugs me. Member kaka and me? If we didn't have this rule woulda never happened.

Define "This". Besides, some armies may end up being hidden later on or something, and if we take it away, there's nothing official to go on. Scouting is staying.
