So I guess the Onions and Pikmins formed some wort of bond with Olimar. Without him, the enter hibernation?

But, they're not dead, right? Are you going to explain how Olimar was even able to find Pikmins in the first place? The Pikmins seem to be doing fine before Olimar found them.

What? They weren't even there before Olimar showed up. The Onion was dark brown and planted in the ground. There were no Pikmin until he came next to the Onion. And, yes, the Pikmin are dead.

olimar was dead in the bad ending of pikmin one. When the pikmin try the same thing when he is alive, the onion rejects him. And why did you have to kill the pikmin? Waaaaah |

the onions only suck up dead things. it even regects live breadbugs. that shows that he had to be dead to be sucked up.

The Breadbugs don't actually go in, they're just holding onto what goes in so they fall off when it disappears. And this story wasn't made to be canon--Now is probably one of the worst possible times to speak up about that.

Canon: Loyal to a series, truthful in relation to a series, etc. For example, Mario Party is not canon because it isn't connected to the main series. Dry Bones doesn't actually jump equally high as Mario, Luigi, Toad, etc.
