I don't think no troop cap is a good idea. Since Hocotatians don't get Supers or Specials (Unless they capture them) though, maybe they could have a slightly higher troops cap than Wildlife armies.

Bulbmin said it perfectly. Troops are the heart of Wildlife armies, as it lets them be versatile. A Hocotatian's focus is machines, not troops. It doesn't really matter if it's the "Heart of the Pikmin games," we can't be canon all the time. A higher troop cap/gain wouldn't hurt Hocotatians, however.

So can you buy/sell Supers like War machines? I'm just asking because I might either buy an Onion or make a mechanical one that's the same as a regular one in nearly every way >_>

No, Hocotatians are unable to get Supers unless through capturing them from an enemy.

with all these restrictions, hocotation armies are going to start to rely solely on machines. I like to have a more baleneced hocotatian army.

You can't have everything. u c wut i did ther? Anyways, if a Hocotatian relies solely on machines it'll likely end up in trouble because not absolutely everything can be automatic/computer-controlled. Besides, you can make equipment for their troops that can make them better, such as ranged weapons and whatnot. You really don't seem to understand the point, and the point is that if you want a balanced army, go be a Wildlife.

I kinda liked the whole concept of having a hocotatian army though.

And you can. You can just only use Pikmin troop-wise.

That's fine with me. I like pikmin. (Who would guess?) Just don't limit a hocotatian army's troop count and other things like that. Pikmin's strength is in their numbers, right? It would make lots of sense to have them have onions, especially when you can build the equivilant of an onion in robot form yet I guess that bothers me slightly less.

Hocotatians will definitely have a troop limit. Everything must have some form of limit--not always a set one--But we can't let things get out of control. So I'm thinking 75,000 for a Hocotatian, with a gain of 150 Pikmin a day. It's an equally proportional increase of troop count and gain. The general consensus seems to be for me to get going on the rules, so when I write them I'll probably just put that in and see what the general population thinks. And they'll definitely have numbers--They already can outnumber Wildlife armies with the 55,005 troop total.

Do the Petal Gatherers still only give 5 petals? If so, I think we should lower the normal gain to 5 petals with one PGC. That way, like hachi said earlier, it makes competition for petals. We could also have petals as loot for random events, so Wildlife armies will all want to participate.
Also, perhaps when a Hocotatian shops it should cost more, so they have a reason to want more petals.

Hmm...yeah, Hocotatians could have to pay 50% more or something. And while I would like to lower the initial gain to five, it's just too crippling to have to wait five internal days to get one piece of Iron (If you had no Petals). I think it should stay at 10. It makes you have to spend a decent bit of your Petals on resources, but also worry about your project slots. I doubt anybody will have all six running for a long time into the game--Probably only once both PGCs are owned will armies be able to run all six project slots at a time, and that'll be after they have a few mines so resources aren't a constant worry like they will be in the beginning.
Oh, and I think that new Wildlife armies should get to start with 200 Petals and 5 Iron, and Hocotatian armies should get to start with 100 Petals and 8 Iron. Sound fair, or needs tweaking?

Sounds fair. As a note, I think we should out a building reference guide for resources.
Normal Buildings: 1 resource piece Walls: 2? Base Defences: 1-2 Factories: 2? 3?
