You said the only way hoctaitians can get troops is progects and war spoiles.

I didn't say projects, unless maybe I misread something or worded something confusingly. The only way they can get non-Pikmin is through capturing enemy troops and stuff, but projects don't work. Seriously, if they did, you could just run all project slots at maximum speed and sextouple your troop gain.

But there were Special Pikmin in the last Pikmin Wars. Some people had things like Neon Pikmin and Silver Pikmin and stuff like that which were Special troops. Wouldn't it be fair for Hocotatians to have these? They're still Pikmin, and thus relatively easy to kill and it doesn't give the Hocotatians too much more flexibilty.
Also, can Hocotatians get Onions as Supers? That would make sense, canonically speaking.

Well you could still have pikmin like that as long as you weakend them to be normal class.
And I think onions would be fair.

Yoshi: No Pikmin via projects. Like I said, it would sextouple troop gain if you wanted to spend all your projects on it. Er...actually septouple it if you ran all six on it. I said most people didn't get them as Specials, not none of them did. And the fact that they did holds no significance here; Olimar and Louie only worked with weak varieties, and it can be the same for these. I think, without trying to be insulting, that you're a little bit short-sighted on this. If there was no downside to having Hocotatians get Specials and Supers, then we'd by all means do it. However, there is a downside, and that is that the Hocotatian class will be very overpowered if they could get Specials and Supers. If you want an Onion, you can go be a Wildlife army or make a mechanical one as a Hocotatian. I don't think some of you are realizing what Hocotatians can do; you're just looking at what they can't do, and are therefore failing to realize that they can usually build machines to fill in their shortcomings! I think it balances out fairly well. Oh, and I say we should have the Hocotatian's troop max be a simple 50,000. Objections?

See, I don't see why they can have War Machines but no Supers. Aren't Super just organic war machines? I don't think it would hurt to let them have Onions. I mean, a project is a project.

In battles, Supers have tended to have done better than their total project cost in troops...they take maybe 50 days to get, but frequently end up dealing more than 50 days' worth of damage or casualties. Besides, it helps keep the two classes different, and I'd like it if they were both very different, but still balanced. I think that's how it is right now.

I think we can solve the getting Pikmin problem by saying that the Hocotatians used Candypops to get extra Pikmins daily. Maybe Onions can be used as transports, but the Onion itself can't fly out to fight.

In pikmin 1 and 2 the hocotatians had onions. If that many restrictions are going to be placed on them troop-wise they might as well be allowed to have at least 3 onions.

Yeah, a mechanical Onion could go around sucking enemy troops up and converting them to pikmin in the heat of battle as reinforcements.

Guys, no onions. But to even it out, I think Hoco's can get more pikmin daily, compared to Wildlife

150 a day, perhaps?
Also, is everybody fine with getting 10 Petals a day and having a PGC cost 500? Maybe there can be a later one that'll cost 1,000 or 1,500.

And no hocotation troop limits. Overwhelming an enemy using numbers is the heart of winning a battle in the pikmin games. Troops should still be the heart of hocotatian armies, not machines
