OK THE PROBLEM ISN'T A PURPOSE OR ATTACK-DEFENSE BALLANCE. ITS THAT IF YOU ATTACK SOMEONE< YOU ARE AT A LOSS, LEADING TO A STALEMATE. OK?

If you mean troops/ war machines, then yes you will probably lose if you are the first to attack. But if I attack someone to get petals, and I get those petals, I won. That's all I meant by it. Plus, you're factoring out spoils of war, I could use those petals to buy some titanium and make a whole bunch of super strong war machines. Then no one wants to attack me. So yes, you'd be at a loss immediatly, that's why you plan ahead for what you'll do with those spoils of war.

What if we have a continuous RE that causes shortage of material in the US (Universal Store)? Resources still are sold at the same price, but the amount being sold is never enough for everyone. Therefore, you must attack to advance your army, or you'll be stalled without material. That's an interesting idea.

It gives more meaning to targets and such, meaning that even if you went to war, and lost some troops, you're not as big of a target than the guy with 10 Steel and 15 Iron.

Except that with the 150% limit, the attacker is at the advantage. I guess this isn't a real problem with attack-defense ballance, but rather a arms-race situation. Hachi's idea is good. Assuming he has more than you. Furthermore, because you took losses, the 150% limit will be lower than if you hadn't taken any. Thus, the numbers are directly proportional.

The 150% would work because its proportional, but the defender could be worn out.
Nobertk did that in the last war. After weakening his target with a large strike, he sent increasingly small raids that equal 150% of the defender until they got crushed.

You're the pinnacle of war achievement, Nobertk. All your battles ended in clear victories.
